Project Brief

Problem: The event known as Frontier Fiesta needed a marketing campaign logo designed for the year 2023. This campaign logo would need to reflect the theme of the event, that being “A New Frontier”. The design would have to be appropriate for the event while following the University of Houston’s branding guidelines. 

Process and Development: After being shown a mood board by the student directors coordinating the event, I had a general direction to begin development. I choose the graphical style based off of the provided mood board. I began by creating outlines for all of the main pieces in the design, the astronaut, the rocket, and the earth. After playing with the outlines and piecing them together, I applied several color palettes that maintained the university's guidelines. The finished result is a logo that encompasses the event's theme. Please note that this marketing campaign logo wasn't selected for the event, as they decided to change their approach to its style.
